Revision Skincare Review & Giveaway!
Hello all my beauty & skincare lovers and welcome back to MomEtc! I have been so excited to host this giveaway, especially today as its the First Day of Summer! As some of you have already been following me for quite sometime, you know how much I love this brand. I’ve always prided myself on the fact that I only review products that I myself have used or been using and I either truly love them or dislike them and aren’t afraid to voice it. After all its important to be true to myself & you guys especially who may end up purchasing some of the products I review. So that being said, lets get straight into the review of these yummy products that have changed my skin over the years.
First up is the Intellishade Original, I won’t go into too much detail on this SPF as I have reviewed it many times and even did a video on my YouTube channel (click here to watch the video) or you can read up about it on my blog by clicking here! What I will say is that I have been using this for many many years and it has consistently helped with not just protecting me from the sun but also from pigmentation which I have dealt with in my last pregnancy and postpartum quite a bit!
Let’s move onto a few new products that I have been using from Revision Skincare and they are Retinol Complete, Vitamin C 30% and Revox. Holy cow. This combo right here is my holy grail these days, it has been a constant in my routine and has transformed my skin.
Lets start out with the Retinol Complete. I have always been somewhat scared of Retinols because they have always irritated my skin & made my skin & “wrinkles” worse than before. I never kept using it past a certain point (as its advised) because my skin would do back flips and become unmanageable… That was until Revision sent me this baby. I was a little hesitant because of my past experience with these potent wrinkle fighters, but I decided to give it a whirl and see what happens. I now LOVE it. I would be lying if I said there was no dryness, because of course there was, but it was so small and very unnoticeable and for a very short period of time that I kept on using this and worked my way up to using it 3-4 times a week (at night). So I would definitely recommend this to even the most sensitive skin, which I think have nowadays after all the pregnancies and hormonal changes. I apply it only at night, on freshly washed skin before I apply anything else. One pump is more than enough and I gently dab it all over my face, focusing on my forehead, smile lines, cheeks etc (avoiding the eye area or at least not getting very close) and voila, you wake up to a smoother, more radiant skin! Below you will find some of the ingredients in this product:
- Retinol (0.5%). Reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
- Isosorbide Dicaprylate. Provides long-term controlled hydration to needed areas of the skin.
- Bakuchiol. Enhances the effects of Retinol and provides broad-spectrum antioxidant benefits.
- Ophiopogon japonious Root Extract. Boosts skin’s hydration levels.
- Vitamin C (THD Ascorbate). Brightens the skin and provides powerful antioxidant benefits.
- Sesame Extract. Helps plump and smooth skin’s texture.
IT RETAILS FOR: around for $105 bucks
Next up is the Vitamin C 30% which is supposed to be used with the Retinol complete (Vitamin C in the Am Retinol in the PM). I have used many Vitamin C emulsions and I have to say this is one of my favorites. It is no secret that it comes as packaged deal and its meant to be used together for the best results. The purpose of this cream or lotion is to brighten the skin and clear up any pigmentation that may happen as a result from pregnancy, birth control or the sun. The lotion is very potent & light on the skin. One pump in the AM on clean fresh skin before anything else will do the trick. I use this religiously every am ( I switch it up with another Vitamin C lotion) and my skin hasn’t looked better. Check out some of the ingredients below:
- Vitamin C (THD Ascorbate). A very stabilized form of Vitamin C. Brightens the skin and provides antioxidant benefits.
- Squalane Infuses moisture into the skin.
- Coenzyme Q10 (Ubiquinone). Oil-soluble antioxidant.
- Vitamin E (Tocopherol). Provides strong antioxidant benefits.

Finally its the Revox 7. Another must have and it truly works awesome with the two products above. The point of this gel is to reduce the appearance of expression lines on the face. You can use it around the eyes, forehead, smile lines etc. Once again you apply this straight onto clean face before moisturizer, I gently pat it around the problem areas, and wait a minute or so before applying moisturizer. They advise using it AM and PM but so far I have been using it only in the PM and I have seen drastic changes, especially around my smile lines and eye area. Hello Revox 7 bye bye botox! Although I have heard people compare this to Botox saying its a great alternative if you dont want to go that route just yet. Some of the ingredients are :
- Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-19, Acetyl Hexapeptide-8, Acetyl Octapeptide-3 & Dipeptide Diaminobutyroyl Benzylamide Diacetate. Help to reduce the appearance of expression lines.
- Palmitoyl Tripeptide-28 & Trifluoroacetyl Tripeptide-2. Provide skin smoothing and toning benefits.
- Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7. Helps skin appear more firm.
- GABA – Gamma-Aminobutyric Acid. Helps to reduce the appearance of expression lines.

Finally I will end the review with the D.E.J Eye Cream which I have also reviewed a few times and you can find the video here ! What I will say is that this eye cream and one other one (I will share in a future post) are the only ones that truly work for me, make a difference & don’t irritate the very sensitive skin around the eyes. True gem which I will probably use forever!
