Catalytic Lamp Process
What are Catalytic Lamps?
Catalytic lamps destroy certain bacteria in the air while increasing oxygen levels and
perfuming your air. They all use a catalytic stone to combust a special alcohol based
liquid fuel. The burning fuel releases molecules into the air that capture and destroy
odors while dispersing essential oils.
What are the benefits of Catalytic Lamps?
Catalytic Lamps purify the air by destroying odors and air borne bacteria. They increase
oxygen levels in the air. The fuels contain essential oils and these oils perfume the air
and provide aromatherapy. They are more efficient and safer than a scented candle to
perfume the house. The purifying effects of Catalytic Lamps natural ingredients added
to catalytic combustion have a very strong purifying action with more than 60% of air
bacteria's being eliminated.
Use your lamp properly for best results
Filling the lamp too full will over saturate the stone and cause it not to stay lit.
Remember your catalytic lamp works after the flame is extinguished. The flame is to
heat the stone and needs to be blown out after about 2 to 3 minutes.
It is healthiest for your stone burner to let the lamp at least burn 30 minutes before you
shut it off and it will burn approximately 1/2 oz of fuel per hour.
Close or put on the lid to shut off the lamp. If you forget to shut the lamp off, it will shut
off automatically when it runs out of fuel. It is healthy for your stone and helps to keep
your stone running smoothly to let the lamp burn out of fuel by itself. Do not leave
unused fuel in your burner.as this will clog your stone. Pour unused fuel back into its
original container.
Use alcohol based Catalytic Lamp Fuel ONLY!
You must soak a new wick, or one that has dried out, in lamp fragrance for about 20 to
30 minutes before relighting the lamp. Make sure the solid lid is on to help absorption of
the lamp fuel to the wick.
Should you experience a clogged burner, or one that won't stay lit, take the burner out
of the lamp, let it dry for 24 hours. Put back in lamp, let soak for 30 minutes then light
for 3 minutes or more.
Keep your lamp out of drafty areas as it will make your lamp go out
Your alcohol based Catalytic fuel can destroy wood or cloth surfaces. If using on these
types of surfaces, you can protect them from fuel spills if you put something under your
lamp.
You can wash the OUTSIDE of your lamp with MILD soap and water. DO NOT let water
inside your lamp or on the burner stone. Water will destroy your catalytic stone. If you
do get water into your lamp, let dry completely (24-48 hours) before using again.
